Inspired by other local business’ and clubs, the ladies of Beartown Boxing Club have decided to host a 24 hour skipathon to raise money for Ruby’s fund – a local charity which provides a fully inclusive sensory & soft play centre with social cafe, for children & young people with mixed abilities in Congleton, Cheshire.

This is not only a fantastic local charity, but also one that supports the needs of one of our own Beartown babies… little Aria attends Ruby’s fund regularly. Aria suffers from a heart condition known as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. She has an eye condition which means sadly she is blind in one eye and has delayed development. She has an undiagnosed genetic condition and is a true fighter 🥊

Ruby’s fund plays a huge part in supporting Aria and her family. They provide invaluable advice, short breaks, family days and a secure place for her and her family to go to. In the words of her mum Jade ‘Without Ruby’s Fund we would be lost!’

Anyone who has been to our Boxing club will know that us ladies HATE to skip, so 24 hours of skipping will be a huge challenge for most of us…

We will be putting a sign up sheet in the Boxing club for any volunteers that wish to help us out. We will also be putting sponsorship forms out and any donations towards this amazing cause will be gratefully received 🙏🏻

Please encourage friends and family to come down and spur us on throughout the day / night.

The event will be taking place on the 18th / 19th of October starting at 10pm with each participant completing a 30 minute skipping slot.

We hope to see you all there… tea / coffee & cakes will be provided for all 🙌🏼
